Friday Faves #3

Friday, January 31, 2014

Happy Friday everyone! We made it! I realize that for us mamas the job never stops, but let's not get down on ourselves. Fridays are still the day before the weekend which makes it a Great Day!

So here's my current Faves that revolve all around my one year old:

1. Luna's current favorite snacks are Happy Family puffs and their yogis

2. She loves to go for cruises around our neighborhood in her Radio Flyer Trike

3. We read to her one to two times per day so she's obviously becoming a book lover just like us. Her current faves are Goodnight Moon, Llama Llama Red Pajama and Daddy's Girl

4. Of all her toys she gravitates towards small tangible toys and links, as well as stuffed friends. She sleeps with her ballerina mouse and her lamb.

Now for some of my own....gotta keep Mama happy too!

5. I have a beautiful diaper bag I received from my brother, but I soon learned that lugging around a big expensive diaper bag is not the easiest choice! So it only comes with me on special outings. Otherwise, I use this personalized West Elm Tote or this black tote from Forever 21.  Both of them are fantastic!

6. Massage Envy...I know this may be a splurge, but honestly I recommend it for everyone! This place is not fancy schmancy spa, therefore, it's not the best choice for a special day, but for monthly relaxation maintenance it's the way to go! I would still highly recommend it for a gift idea. Especially after carrying around a 20+ pound lil beauty who doesn't walk yet!

7. I can have a whole list of current favorite treats so I'll try to narrow them down to a few. I love edamame, a cold glass of this iced tea, and Friday nights are currently including a bottle of Hess Pinot Noir

If your currently in love with a new baby/toddler item, a new snack, accessory and of course a favorite wine, please share! I'd love to hear what the hot items are in your life.

Hope you all have a wonderful fin de la semaine!

French Phenomenon

Thursday, January 30, 2014

This year I have started my year with a bang! Because I am actually following through. I have always been intrigued with the French language and lifestyle. Especially after reading Bringing up Bebe, Paris in Love and many others. I am taking my first French class in order to add French as my third language.

After having our daughter, I jokingly started telling my husband that once Luna and I both speak some French, he will have to take us to France. Well, my husband actually said okay! Haha! Jokes on me! Even when he printed the registration page for my class, I was still hesitant on how I/we would make this work. Luckily my husband is a great motivator and told me to stop thinking about it and just do it. Last night was my third class and I am having such a great time.

I have come to the conclusion that it does not have all to do with learning French, but has more to do with doing something for myself and learning something new. It's been far too long. Therefore, if you have always wanted to try something new and are still "thinking" about it--stop it! Just do it! It will feel amazing to fulfill something on your life list, no matter what it is.

My French class has created a phenomenon in my life, and is preparing me to take on some of my even bigger goals!

I would love to hear some of the things you would love to learn and conquer. I hope this inspires you to give it a go!

Minted Memories

Saturday, January 25, 2014

I cannot believe its almost been a year since we announced the birth of our daughter Luna. On February 3, 2014 she will become a one-year-old! I love looking back at our birth announcements and all the photos we've taken throughout the year.

In this past year I've certainly learned to relish in the memories and definitely record all the moments that are special for my family. When I started searching birth announcements I knew it would be the beginning of creating memories that not only we could look back on, but our daughter could also enjoy!

So if your having a baby soon or your baby is a few months old, then I would highly recommend Minted.com birth announcements. I think it's never too early or too late to introduce your little one to the world. These are just few of my favorite announcements beautiful gold foil and hola!

You can also find tons of other fun cards to announce other milestones or holidays, as well as personalized stationary and amazing party decorations.

Oh and did I mention the art prints! There are so many that I like, but I definitely got my eye on these, the LOVE print for Luna's room and these for our wall collage Rooftops of Paris and Fields of Blue Pacific Ocean.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
